Are you a truly skilled educator who wants to work on pedagogical development alongside your teaching duties? Then you might be the one we are looking for as we seek a lead teacher for Rådmansvångens resource school Källingen in Swedish/English.

Källängen is a newly established resource school with currently about 30 students. As a lead teacher, you will work alongside a special educator, student coordinator, speech therapist, counselor, teaching assistants, and primary teachers.

The current role is focused on language-developing instruction. In close consultation with the school management, you will have good opportunities to plan, implement, and evaluate the development initiatives for which you are responsible. Your development initiatives will inspire your colleagues and contribute to a higher achievement of goals.

At the same time, the majority of your position will be teaching. You will conduct, both individually and in teams, varied, creative, and engaging instruction for our students. You will find strategies to reach every student and contribute to increased goal fulfillment. You will plan, assess, evaluate, and develop the educational activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work.

The lead teacher works at their own workplace but also has a partially municipal/administrative overarching assignment by spreading good examples.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications in grades 4-9 in Swedish/English. It is an advantage if you also have further education within the NPF spectrum or behavioral sciences. You should have experience working with students within the NPF spectrum.

To be considered for the lead teacher position, you must be able to document at least four years of well-documented work after graduation with teaching as a qualified teacher within the framework of one or more positions in the school system. It is an advantage if you have experience mentoring other teachers and also experience driving development processes based on systematic quality work.

It is also advantageous if you have previously worked with language-developing instruction and have knowledge of social learning theory and applied behavior analysis.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace

Rådmansvångens school is located in a beautiful former higher education institution and a prestigious high school in central Malmö. The building has now been fully renovated into a modern school that provides a pleasant working environment for our approximately 500 students. At the school, we have a school librarian who supports you in your work and a student health team that works closely with mentors and work teams. Our school has a strong focus on culture, traditions, and sustainability, as well as STEAM and international collaborations. The school will start the academic year 25/26 in collaboration with Uppsala University as we enter the relationship-strengthening program IBIS. This will be a starting point in our shared structures and routines that we call Rådman.

The school is located in one of Malmö's most central locations near Triangeln shopping center with proximity to both entrances of the city tunnel. The school's location also gives us the opportunity to interactively work with nearby organizations, as well as the city's various places and spaces.
